Etched Glass Beer Mugs

You will need

  • smooth-sided beer mugs

  • glass etching cream
  • adhesive stencil film
  • x-acto or other craft knife

  • brush

  • rubber gloves


  • Pick images for stencils and print out using printer or draw your own.
  • Trace images on paper backing of adhesive film. Cut out sections to be etched to make a stencil. Adhere adhesive film to glass.
  • Apply the etching cream according to the instructions on bottle, making sure to use gloves for proper protection.
  • After washing off etching cream, peel off adhesive stencil. Enjoy!
