Moisturize & Minimize
“Start with a great moisturizer and eye cream; aging is a reality so we need all the help we can get!” laughs James. “If you have oily skin, be sure to use an oil- free version, while drier skins can opt for a richer cream. Eye creams in gels and serums can help reduce puffiness and smooth lines and wrinkles. If your lifestyle is busy like Ryan’s, combine moisture and coverage by using a tinted moisturizer like a Beauty Balm (BB) Cream.” If your skin needs more than just a tint, be sure to find a formula that offers full coverage.
Bronze and Beautiful
Next, try a bronzer as your blush, applied to cheeks as well as the temples and the forehead. “This will give a warm, natural look and provide both color and contour in one,” says James.
The Eyes Have It
Ryan’s lids are hooded – the natural eyelid crease is hidden - so James used a darker shade to create depth. “Then, I added some individual lashes to the ends of her lash line to add fullness and elongate the eye to balance her features,” he revealed. “For easy breezy eyes, use a cream shadow applied with your fingers. They come in multiple shades and are easy to apply for the novice makeup beginner.” Follow by filling in sparse brow hairs to give the face a lift and top it off with a few coats of mascara.
Keep it Bare
“I left her lips soft with a honey shade to add sexiness and ease for her everyday life,” says James. Complete your look with a clear gloss or choose one with a slight tint to add a bit of sexy!
