3 Quick Glazes to Make Your Easter Ham Less Boring

Nothing says Easter morning like a big slab of ham on your plate. Want to really impress your guests? Try one of these three fabulous glazes you can whip up in only 5 minutes. These easy recipes will bring out that salty, sweet ham flavor combo that will have everyone’s taste buds singing. Hallelujah!

Ham with Glaze


  • 1 Spiral Cut Half Ham
  • glaze (below)

For the… Maple Orange Glaze

  • 1 c orange marmalade
  • 1 c maple syrup

For the… Honey Dijon Glaze

  • 1 c honey
  • ⅓ c dijon mustard
  • ⅓ c brown sugar

For the… Soy Sriracha Glaze

  • ¼ c soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp sriracha
  • ⅔ c brown sugar


  • Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the ham packaging (usually 325 degrees).
  • In a small saucepot, combine the glaze ingredients, and bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Line a baking sheet with a few layers of aluminum foil to ease clean-up, and then place ham on sheet.
  • Begin to cook the ham as per package instructions (usually 15 minutes per pound). For the last hour of cook time, brush the ham generously with ½ of the glaze, continuing to baste every 20 minutes until finished. Remove from oven and allow to rest 30 minutes before serving.
