These May Be the Perfect Black Pants!

It’s not a secret that I’m no fan of leggings. I get it, they’re comfy. But they’re not actually pants! So in my fall Kelly by Clinton Kelly collection, I created a pair of pants that are just as comfortable as leggings but even more versatile. They’re thicker, hold you in where you need it (not that you need it), and have great style details like slash pockets and seaming that say quality. They work for anything from running to the grocery store to running a big presentation. Don’t believe me? Then I’ll show you: Here are 5 smart ways to style my Pull-On Ponte Pants ($52.50;

Happy Hour Outfit

1. After-Work Drinks

Want to wow at happy hour? Switch out a couple conservative office pieces—trade that silk blouse for a sequined one, the kitten heels for killer pumps—and you’re good to go. A clutch with just the essentials finishs the look (because a tote filled with Tupperware doesn’t say “party” to me!).

Brooklyn Biker Chic

2. Rock Concert Chic

An (almost) all-black ensemble is instantly edgy, especially when you incorporate lots of leather. The jacket is a must, and the pants paired with booties, creates a long, lean leg line and the tuck at the bellybutton shows off a small waist. Don't worry, the pants have a built-in slimming band at the waist. Shh! It's our secret.

Date Night

3. Out on the Town

Striking the balance between flattering and too sexy, a peplum top accentuates your narrowest part without wearing a fully fitted silhouette. Add a barely-there clutch and serious stilettos to extend those slim leg lines and rev up date night or dancing with the girls.

Casual Plaid

4. Weekend Brunch

Cozy flannel is a must for fall—and a graphic buffalo check feels fresh, not farm-ready when paired with these modern pants. Big faux pearls, a cross-body satchel and brogues impart a prep school vibe.

Casual Friday

5. Casual Friday Cool

Dressing down at work does not mean pajamas (even though these pants might feel like them!). Paired with a breezy blouse in a statement pattern (my Hidden Placket Top in Midnight Floral, $58.77; and of-the-moment flats , the looks is comfy but quite cool.

Nine years ago, I made a vow to live my life based on three guiding principles: Love, Awe and Gratitude. Today, instead of feeling sad, angry or anxious about The Chew’s cancellation, I will look through the lens of Gratitude and thank: My cohosts, @chefsymon and @carlaphall, for being two of the greatest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. The crew and staff of The Chew for being so dedicated, hardworking and collaborative. Our viewers for allowing us into your homes each day to share a laugh and a recipe — and a cocktail. It’s been a fun run and I am so freakin’ lucky to have been a part of it. Much love, CK ❤️

This photo was taken the day my mom brought me back to the US from Panama, where I was born. She had jet-black hair and a tan, whereas I was basically translucent, with white hair and big blue eyes. Security guards stopped her in the airport because they thought she was smuggling someone else’s baby out of the country. So, I guess it’s time for everyone to come clean. I was indeed stolen. I am actually a Norwegian prince. Where’s my 👑, Terri?!?! Where. Is. My. #%^*ing. 👑?!? 🤪 Happy Mother’s Day!!! I love you. Sorry I’m so weird. ❤️
