5-Minute Patriotic Berry Trifle—No Baking Required!

Are you looking for a last minute, show-stopping dessert with patriotic flair for this weekend? How about one that uses in-season fruit and easy-to-find ingredients, and doesn't require you to turn on the stove? Well you are in the right place: Try my delicious red, white and blue summer berry trifle.


Patriotic Berry Trifle

  • Serves 8-10
  • Prep time: 5 minutes


  • 2 angel food cakes, cut into 1” chunks
  • 1-2 jars strawberry preserves
  • 4 boxes instant vanilla pudding
  • 1-2 pints blueberries


  • Prepare the pudding according to package directions.
  • In a trifle dish, spread a layer of 1/4th of the pudding. Top with angel food cake chunks and then top with a layer of the ½ of strawberry preserves.
  • Top with angel food cake, and then a layer of another 1/4th of the pudding. Top with ½ of the blueberries, then another layer of angel food cake.
  • Top with 1/4th of the pudding, then remaining half of strawberry preserves. Top with another layer of the cake and the remaining pudding.
  • Arrange remaining blueberries in a start formation, then lightly cover and chill 1 hour before serving.
5 Minute No-Bake Patriotic Berry Trifle

#fbf to 1994 (ish) with my buds, @richardwiese and @wendirogerstv Bought that sport coat on sale for about 20 bucks because that’s all I had in the bank. Was 10% wool and 90% “other.” Got caught in the rain with it and smelled like wet dog ass all night.
