Use Honey, Rum and Champagne to Make This Sexy Airmail Cocktail

About once a month, I take the women who work for me out to test cocktail recipes (jealous?). On a recent outing to a hotel bar in midtown Manhattan (it’s swanky, I swear!), the bartender introduced us to The Airmail: Sweetened with honey, woozy with rum and sparkling from a champagne topper. Make it and be inspired to send your lover a lusty letter instead of shooting him a text. Your sex life will thank me.

The Airmail Cocktail

  • 2 ounces golden rum (we recommend Puerto Rican rum)
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 5 ounces Brut champagne


  • Add rum, lime juice and honey to cracked ice in a chilled cocktail shaker and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour unstrained into a Collins glass and fill with champagne.
